Oops
I just realized that yesterday I forgot to log a serving of potato salad in my diet tracking software.
Fixing that oversight puts me about 160 calories over my 1,500 calorie quota for the day.
Even though it isn't really "cheating" on my diet (since it was accidental), I still need to watch out for that kind of mistake. Sneaking "just a taste" of something, or "forgetting" to log something is a problem because it adds up. Trying all the different samples at Costco on a Saturday could easily add 500 to 1,000 calories of intake without ever seeming like I actually had a meal.
