Day 30: 296 lbs
Dropped a couple pounds today.
I've been dieting for just about a month (tomorrow will be a month), and lost about 20 pounds so far. Have I noticed any difference yet?
I've noticed that my pants are not as tight. I've lost some of that pinched-in-the-middle look when I cinch my belt. I'm not at the point yet where I've actually dropped a pants size (partly because they were too small to begin with).
But I've still got about 100 pounds to go. And then I still have to maintain it. So progress is good, but this is still the beginning of the road.
The weather this weekend has been cold and rainy, so I haven't had a chance to go outside and work in the garden. But I did purchase a digital diet scale yesterday, and it makes a big difference. No more guessing about portion sizes: I just slip the food on the scale, and see exactly how much I took.
In some cases, I discovered that I was actually taking a smaller portion than I had guessed. In other cases, bigger. But it is best to be certain either way.
