Day 33: 296 lbs
My weight popped up a pound yesterday.
I had to renew my drivers' license, which always presents a dilemma. Anyone unhappy with his or her weight has experienced this: do you write your real weight on the form, or do you fudge it a few pounds?
If you're actively dieting when your license comes up for renewal, the temptation to fudge is even stronger. After all, the license is good for five years, and I hope that for most of that time I will weigh considerably less than I do now. If I'm successful, do I really want to carry around a license which states my weight as 100 pounds more than it actually is for four and a half years?
In the end, I decided to fudge, but only a little. I wrote 290. My old license said 285, which was brutally honest at the time.
Now my job is to make a liar out of myself.
