Day 35: 295 lbs
I dropped a couple pounds yesterday, but I also broke my diet for the first time.
It was so easy, almost inconsequential. We were having bratwurst for dinner last night (left over from grilling on the weekend), and I had eaten dinner. I had used up my quota of 1,500 calories for the day. There was still one brat left on the plate, and in a few seconds of weakness, I gave in to temptation and it was gone.
That put me at 1,737 calories for the day, 237 over my quota.
That one bratwurst isn't going to cause me to gain back the 20 pounds I've already lost. But this is horribly like the way my diets usually end: one small temptation followed by more and more until there's no point keeping track any more.
But I'm determined not to let that happen this time. I gave in to temptation this one time, but that doesn't mean I have to give in again. Today is a fresh start.
