Day 77: 283 lbs

I gained a pound yesterday. I followed all the Diet Commandments, though I had to take a guess as to the portion size of dinner: it was leftovers which were part of a recipe but not the whole thing. I consumed 1,491 calories yesterday, staying under my 1,500 calorie quota.

I'm not disappointed at gaining a pound, since some daily fluctuation is expected, and I've lost 10 pounds in a week. The amount of weight I gain or lose can be strongly influenced by whether or not my body is retaining water, how much fiber I ate in the past day, and similar things which have nothing to do with my "real" weight. That's why I always weight myself in the morning, before breakfast but after emptying my bowels and bladder. It is the lowest weight of the day (which is nice), but also the most consistent weight from day to day.
