Day 146: 267 lbs

No change in my weight since yesterday. Yesterday was a good diet day: I mostly stuck to my Diet Commandments (I did have some chips at lunch again and had to estimate the amount), and I stayed under my 1,500 calorie quota. Call it a 7/10 for sticking to my diet, and I'm only docking myself for those chips at lunch.

Our son had his physical exam yesterday (he just turned 7), and the doctor said we need to get him to eat more vegetables. Getting a seven-year-old t eat vegetables is like, well, it isn't easy. So we came up with a rule: he had to eat twice as many vegetables (by volume) as pasta, pizza, etc. And he has to eat the vegetables first.

One of my parenting fears is that my kids will wind up with the same bad eating habits that I have, and they'll grow up with just as many problems with their weight. Vegetables are a start for remedying that.
