Day 158: No weight

I couldn't blog yesterday because when I was going to write an update, the internet connection in my hotel room went down. Argh.

Anyway, Sunday I managed to stick to my diet, though it was my kid's birthday party and so I had pizza and cake for lunch (not the forbidden chocolate cake, though, this was carrot cake). I pretty much skipped dinner, and logged just under 1,500 calories for the day--though I'm fuzzy on the portion size for the cake, so the calorie count might not be perfectly accurate.

Yesterday I did a better job of controlling my portion sizes, but went about 180 calories over my quota. That happened because by the time I started looking for dinner, the only thing open I could find was a Starbucks, and they had exactly one sandwich left, and that sandwich had more calories than I had left for the day. Sadly, I do not have the discipline to buy a whole sandwich and eat only half of it ((at least not most days).

I also had several people at the conference comment that I'd lost weight, which was a real ego-boost. These are people I haven't seen for six months or a year, and in some cases I've only met them once or twice.

So today's reason for wanting to be 195 lbs: So than people I see only every six months will be impressed by how thin I am.
