Day 206: 271 lbs

As I mentioned late last night, I didn't stick to my diet yesterday. I can go around and around on the whys and wherefores of this, but it comes down to a couple of competing forces in my head:
  1. I still want to lose another 70 pounds or so, which, if I can stick to my diet, will take probably 3-6 months, and
  2. I've lost enough weight that I no longer feel the urgency to stay on my diet every day, so it is very easy to give in to temptation.

Today will be a challenging day, but it is also a new one. The challenge is that we're planning to go out for dinner with my parents, and it is a weekend, so I'll be home with temptation all day.

Here's my plan: I'll eat our usual Sunday brunch, and dinner with my parents. I'll order something relatively light, like a sandwich or a hamburger, at dinner. Nothing in between except a small snack, and fresh veggies (which are always allowed).

So now I have a plan. I hope I can stick to it.
