Day 233: 270 lbs

I lost two pounds yesterday, though as I mentioned in my entry from yesterday, I didn't quite stick to my diet. I gave in to temptation at lunch and ate a bunch of chips. When I took my best estimate of my calorie count for the day, I consumed about 500 calories over my 1,00 calorie quota.

Those snack foods are Diet Death. Hence the new rule: No Chips.

I need to be really intolerant of even minor transgressions in my diet. As the past few months have taught me, small transgressions when overlooked lead to bigger ones and eventually breaking my diet completely. So I need to nix this "its just a small thing" attitude.

This is going to be a challenging weekend, since I'm going to be going out to my wife's grandmother's house for an early Easter dinner.

On a more positive note, when I went to Target this morning for our weekly grocery shopping trip, the guy at the door mentioned that I look a lot thinner. I don't know him from Adam, but apparently he recognized me, and noticed.
