Day 257: 274 lbs
Confession: I broke my No Chips Ever rule yesterday at lunch. We had the bag of chips out for our Monday lunch meeting, and I took a handful. I didn't think I went overboard, but today I've gained three pounds.
Other than that violation I was pretty good about my diet yesterday. I measured breakfast and dinner (mostly), didn't snack, and stuck to my 1,500 calorie quota (mostly--I went over by 16 calories). I stared temptation down several times during the day and won.
But those darn chips.
One reason they're so insidious, other than the fact than I have a hard time stopping once I start, is the salt. Salt causes my body to retain water. I don't know if the chips can account for all three pounds I gained, but it sure didn't help.
Today I will do better.
