Day 279: 267 lbs
No change in my weight since yesterday. I finished the day yesterday almost exactly on my 1,500 calorie quota (to be precise, I consumed 1,501 calories according to my log). I had the late afternoon hunger pangs again, and snacking on fresh veggies was effective at keeping them at bay until I could get home and get some dinner.
I need to replenish the supply of snackable vegetables in the office fridge, though. I'm thinking of getting a vegetable peeler and a bag of whole (not baby) carrots. The whole carrots are a little less convenient, but the quality is usually higher, and they keep better. I've wound up with a couple bags of slimy baby carrots the past few weeks, and it isn't a pretty sight.
The neighbor commented on my weight loss yesterday. She's undergoing chemo and radiation therapy for a major brain tumor, after two surgeries a month ago. Despite all that, she's in good spirits ("happy to be alive!"), and sometimes its nice to be reminded that there are worse things than being a few pounds overweight.
