Day 343: 268 lbs
I lost another pound yesterday, and did a good job on my diet. I measured everything I ate, and only went a smidgen (about 50 calories) over quota.
I'm not sure what the key to sticking to my diet is (if I did, I'd write a book and be a millionaire), but I think I have to get motivated enough to stick to it long enough for my daily habits to change. If you do something enough days in a row, then it will become a habit; if I'm good on my diet for enough days in a row, then it becomes a habit. So the first few days are hard, and then it becomes easier.
Until, that is, I start getting sloppy and complacent about my diet. Then I gradually slip off until I get to the point where I'm not losing weight at all any more.
At the moment, my lowest weight on this diet is 262 lbs, so have to make up for some lost ground. If I hit 250 lbs, then I can say that I'm once again losing weight for real.
