Day 367: 272 lbs

I blew my diet yesterday. I had such high hopes, too.

I did OK for the birthday party--not perfect, but OK--and managed to resist most temptations. This was good, since this was not so much a birthday party as an all-afternoon extravaganza, with popcorn, candy, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, cake, etc., etc., and I was there with the kids from just after lunch through dinner.

But then after I got home, I had this huge urge to eat a big bowl of raisin bran. By that point in the day, I had eaten dinner (at the party) and gone slightly over my calorie quota. Nevertheless, I gave in to the urge and ate the raisin bran.

And blew my diet.

I don't know where the urge came from, since it wasn't actual hunger. Just a craving. Maybe my body decided it really needed one of those essential vitamins and minerals after Saturday's huge firewood-fest (which I'm still sore from).

One problem is that we don't have any "redirection foods" in the fridge right now. Low-calorie foods--like fresh vegetables--I can snack on when I feel like snacking. I should make a point of stocking up.
