Day 181: 266 lbs
Yesterday was one of those rare days when I got to the end of dinner, logged in my portions, and discovered that I had over 300 calories remaining for the day. I mentally checked to make sure I hadn't forgotten to log anything, but no, I hadn't. I had just been really really good about my diet all day.
So I got to reward myself with a small treat after dinner (a cup of frozen berried over milk, and a packet of Equal to sweeten it just a bit). Nice.
My other reward was losing four pounds when I weighed in this morning. Also nice.
Keeping a good stock of fresh veggies for munching at the office helps a lot, since it gives me something to nibble without breaking my diet. Today's a little tougher, since girl scout cookies arrived. I allowed myself a few (how could I not?), but I have to maintain the discipline to not grab any more.
Remember, the pleasure of eating a cookie is transitory and over in a few moments. The true reward of losing weight takes hard work for a long time.
